Project Description:

Bemersyde Estate is a historic 15th century house located in the Scottish Border town of Melrose and is available to let throughout the year for relaxing Scottish Borders holidays, special occasions and corporate events.

Arca Studios were approached by the owners of Bemersyde Estate, Earl and Lady Haig of Bemersyde after seeing the work we did for the Salmon Fishing Holidays Scotland website. The estate primarily was used as lodgings for syndicate salmon fishing on the estates private fishing beat on the River Tweed. But as salmon fishing numbers have been declining in Scotland over the years, businesses who rely on this sport for trade are now looking at other alternative streams of income.

Earl and Lady Haig saw this as a great opportunity to promote not only the history surrounding the house but also the Scottish Borders as a whole. So our plan was to produce a premium high quality website that would have worldwide reach to show what Bemersyde Estate and the Scottish Borders have to offer in terms of hospitality and tourism. We collaborated with a local Scottish Border photographer Helen Barrington who worked with us to provide the excellent imagery to showcase the house and the surrounding grounds.

The website provides Earl and Lady Haig with automated booking enquiry system and availabilty calendar, blogging and latest news functionality and also an area to provide all the history of Bemersyde Estate, the Haigs and of course the Scottish Borders in a digital format.
